Welcome to my blog. Here I write (and occasionally read out loud) about political parties, democracy and development. Once I was a TV reporter, now I work at an Islamabad-based think tank. I was born and raised in Karachi, attended undergrad in Lahore, studied politics at the University of Chicago and hung out in Washington DC for a bit. Contact at haider dot erum at yahoo dot com.
Much preferred the previous format, it looked like a newspaper and was quite charming
The new sidebar on the right is helpful though. Maybe you can merge the two?
Keep writing

Hi Erum. I’m Erum. Funny how we have the same name
I’ve been reading up on your blogs and I just wanted some advice on how to get to where you are now. I’m only in High School, but I just want to know how you set yourself apart from others in this competitive profession. How can a mediocre student like me get a head start on becoming a journalist?
